The Vinyasa Yoga System.
Vinyasa means "breathing system." This system works through the synchronization of deep, rhythmic breathing and movement. Linking the postures with the pulse of the breath creates a continuous flow of energy that heats up the body, bringing oxygen to the blood, nourishing the glands and internal organs and cleansing and purifying the nervous system.
Develop strength, flexibility, stamina, concentration
and awareness through practice.
Unlike many forms of yoga, Vinyasa Yoga is a fast-paced, heat producing class. A basic tenet of Vinyasa Yoga is that you must be warm to stretch, only when we are warm can we begin to develop strength and flexibility. This warmth is achieved not only through movement, but primarily through breath. Students of Vinyasa Yoga will find that they experience the effects of yoga more quickly. They will feel stronger, more relaxed, more focused; they will see their muscle tone increase and their injuries heal; they will see their health improve as they detoxify and clean their internal organs. Consistent practice of Vinyasa Yoga will create a lighter, stronger body and a clear, peaceful mind.
Improve your game.
Athletes tend to over exercise certain muscles causing great imbalances in the body that can lead to chronic injury. Vinyasa Yoga helps to correct this imbalance and can help heal old injuries and prevent new ones from occurring. Vinyasa Yoga is also perfect for exercise minded individuals who are used to fast paced aerobic classes, running, or walking. The pace of Vinyasa Yoga is a bit faster than other styles of yoga, but students still work to cultivate deep focus and peace of mind. In other forms of exercise you only work your body, you leave the gym feeling exhausted, but you leave a yoga class feeling energized and ready for the rest of the day!
